How To Juggle 3 Ball Shower Pattern

Learning how to juggle the 3 ball shower pattern is more difficult than it looks. But with some practice, you’ll be able to juggle the 3 ball shower in no time.

Before we get started its important to know that this pattern is faster than the normal 3 ball cascade pattern that I normally teach.

The biggest difference between the two patterns is that with the 3 ball shower pattern, you are only throwing the ball up and across your body with one hand. The other hand is doing a sort of shuffle or hand off from hand to hand.

In this video, you’ll notice that my right hand is handing the ball off to the left hand, while the left-hand throws the ball up and across my body. You’ll also notice that the ball goes a little bit above my head while I’m doing the throws.

The higher you throw the ball (up to a point) the easier it will be for you to do this pattern. Focusing on the throw is more important than the catch in this pattern as well. You want to make sure that the throw hits around the same spot (around 6-12 inches above your opposite shoulder) every throw.

When you do this consistently, I have you do these practice throws for 50 times before moving on, the pattern will click for you. At that point, you’ll be able to do the 3 ball shower pattern.

It’s simply just a repetitive pattern that you’ll see after doing it for a little while. One other thing when you are learning this. You will be doing 2 throws with your starting hand before you hand-off the ball from your other hand. If you watch the video I address what this means and how it looks.

After practicing this for a while and getting to a consistent 3 ball shower pattern with 3 throws, you’ll be able to move onto more throws. If you notice that once you get to 4 or more throws and you struggle, it’s okay to stop. Stop and then start up again anew.

I find that when someone is learning these and they have a controlled stop, it makes it easier for them to go onto juggling for more extended periods of time.
